The week leading up to my graduation and my graduation weekend honestly went by so fast. Even though I still cannot believe that I am officially done with high school, I decided to let you in on the things that they don't tell you about high school.

-Everyone tells you that senior year just flies by... WRONG. If you're like me, then senior year won't seem like it's flying by until it's pretty much over.

-Senior year can be pretty stressful. SAT's, ACT's, college applications... need I say more?

-Procrastination will be your worst enemy. If you haven't figured that out yet in high school, then trust me. The extra stress is not necessary.

-Apply to more than one college. You might have that one particular school that you've been thinking about going to since you were a little kid... Yes, you should apply to that school, but also apply to other college because you never know what could happen. Again, trust me on this one...

-Make sure you have a good relationship with your teachers. Some scholarships and honor programs require you to have a teacher's recommendation; sometimes one, sometimes more than one.

-Remember those things called emails? After applying for colleges, most universities will contact you about your admission status or any other information that you need to turn in. In other words, check your emails.

-Every final moment will either be your happiest or your saddest. Your last first day of school, last football game, last homecoming, etc. Don't spend too much time being sad that it's your last. Spend that time living in the moment and making worthwhile memories.

-Find out what you want to study in college. Knowing what you want to study and where you want to go to college will be very helpful your senior year. First off, they can announce it at your graduation when you walk across the stage to get your diploma (or at least they did at my school). Secondly, it will save you money in college. If you don't declare a major right away, it can cause you to take classes that you don't really need. Wasted time and wasted effort. With that being said, don't force yourself into a major.

Hope you find these tips helpful! Good luck on your senior year and congratulations. (:

A little while ago, I received the Uni VoxBox from Influenster. Normally, I do unboxing videos on my YouTube channel. For this one, I decided to do something different. I received the box, tested out the products, and decided to give reviews on them all in one blog post.

The Uni Voxbox

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation in 300 Sand

swatch of the darkest shade (Sand)

You can tell even more clearly that this shade does not match me.

 The Claims:
"Feather-light, liquid mousse blends flawlessly for natural-looking, all day shine control. Silky smooth formula leaves a perfectly matte, baby-soft finish. Lightweight texture won't feel heavy or greasy."

The Facts:
-This product retails from about $4.99-$5.49 at drugstores (depending on where you buy it).
-This product does mattify your skin.

The Truth:
-When I first felt the consistency of this foundation, it reminded me of the Rimmel BB Cream. However, the BB Cream is lighter.
-This product has very light coverage.
-This product has the tendency to make you look so matte that it becomes cakey (which is not "natural-looking").
-It will cling to dry patches.
-It can feel a little heavy on the skin.
-This product does not have a wide shade range which is something I have noticed with Rimmel products recently. You are more likely to find your shade if you have a lighter complexion than I do.
-I tried to mix this product with a darker, more dewy foundation to find my perfect shade. I found that after about 20 minutes that the dewy foundation was breaking through the mattifying properties of the Rimmel foundation. I can only imagine what it would do to someone with oily skin.

Final Opinions:
Personally, I would not recommend this product to someone that has normal or dry skin. I would only recommend trying out this product to someone who has very minimal oily skin and a fair complexion.

NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Forever Fuchsia

swatch of Forever Fuchsia on my hand

and a swatch on my lips. (side note: I don't like this picture.)
The Claims:
"Ready to take your lips to the next level? Try our NEW Expert Last Lip Color in twenty tantalizing shades. Get intense amplified color and shine that last up to 6 hours! Our moisturizing formula glides on easily for a silky, smooth, velvety finish for all day wear."

The Facts:
-This product retails for $1.99 at drugstores.
-This lip product does last for a longer time than most of my other lip products.
-This lip product glides on smoothly.
-This lip product has a pretty nice collection of shades.

The Truth:
-The longer I wore this lip product, the more it dried out my lips.
-It was moisturizing for about an hour.
-When this product wears off, it leaves a stain on your lips. All you would need to do is apply a gloss after a few hours and keep rocking the same color.

Final Opinions:
Definitely do not apply this product to dry lips or else you might end up miserable. I would skip this product if your lips dry out very easily.
Red Rose REAL TEA Premium Water Enhancer
 The Claims:
"Finally- a water enhancer with no dyes or coloring that's made from real brewed tea. Make boring water taste tea-riffic with REAL TEA from Red Rose!"

The Facts:
-This product retails for $4.49.
-This product comes in three flavors: Blackcurrant Raspberry (shown above), Earl Grey, and Black Tea.
-For a normal-sized bottle of water, use 2 squeezes for full flavor.
-If you like more watered down tea, use 1 squeeze.

The Truth:
-I really don't like tea, so I wasn't the best tester for this product. Because of this, I asked my mom and my brother to try this product.
-They both liked this product. In fact, my mom liked it so much that she wanted to purchase the other flavors.

Final Opinions:
If you like tea, then you should try this product. Honestly, I don't have anything else to say.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure in Control Freak
 The Claims:
"imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails is the revolutionary way to achieve a flawless manicure in seconds. Just peel off, press on, and you're done- NO glue needed! High-shine colors, trendy designs and glam glitter nails that last up to a week! Available at Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, Kmart, Rite-Aid, & Target."

The Facts:
-These stick-on nails come in both solid colors and designs.
-The solid colors retail for about $5.99.
-The designs retail for about $7.99.

The Truth:
-Personally, I have tried these in the past. They look good when you first put them on.
-They lasted about a day for me. I wasn't doing any harsh cleaning or anything.
-For fake nails, I personally prefer glue. When nails are glued on, they stay on longer for me.

Final Opinions:
If you need quick and easy nails for a night out, you should try these.

Pilot Acroball PureWhite Ink Pen
 The Claims:
"Acroball PureWhite combines a glossy white barrel with Spring Pantone inspired grip colors and smooth writing advanced ink, which combines the vibrant color of gel with the quick drying benefits of ballpoint ink, so you can write effortlessly."

The Facts:
-The retail prices for these pens are: $4.59 per 3-pack, $6.24 per 4-pack, and $7.49 per 5-pack.
-They do come in vibrant colors, but the ink is black.

The Truth:
-These are just ink pens.
-This ink pen is the type of ink pen that writes in wet ink (meaning that the ink takes a second longer to dry). All of you lefties out there, be careful of smudging.

Final Opinions:
Honestly, I would not pay that much for ink pens. I honestly do not plan on purchasing a pack of these, partly because I'm cheap and partly because I don't think they're that special.

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons (saving the awkward for last)
The Claims:
"Play without Limits, introducing NEW Playtex Sport Fresh Balance with Odor Shield technology. It's designed to neutralize odors for ultimate freshness on and off the field. Combined with a 360° design for Sport Level Protection, you can go the distance. Play On.

The Facts:
-These retail for about $3.99- $4.99 at drugstores.

The Truth:
-They have a light scent to them which I'm guessing is supposed to be part of the Odor Shield Technology.

Final Opinions:
The only thing I personally think that would keep someone from trying these is the scent. Otherwise, hey, go for it.

FTC: I received these products from Influenster for testing purposes. However, this in no way affects my opinions (as you might be able to see).
